A system dynamics simulation model of a Water System „HE Pirot“ is developed in a Vensim software (https://vensim.com/).
The modeled hydrographs for a time series of 1000 years are obtained from a hydrological model.
The most severe flood events are extracted and the system performance for five different scenarios with various disturbance events (generator failure, segment gate failure on the spillway, leakage and water supply tunnel failure due to earthquake) is simulated using the developed system dynamics simulation model.
Based on the system performance, the hydropower and flood dynamic resilience were calculated, as well as the system resilience as a whole.
